The Bomber Command Memorial, London
The Bomber Command Memorial was completed in 2012 and opened by HM The Queen just before the London Olympics. Preserving the unique character of the setting relied on the protection and successful retention of existing mature trees throughout the intense building programme. It is now one of London’s top tourist destinations, showcasing the best of Britain’s cultural heritage, with the surrounding trees being an integral part of that visitor experience.
