Steeple Lodge, Sutton Coldfield
This site was originally an old vicarage set in a mature garden with a thick boundary belt of mature broadleaved trees. To maximise the retention of existing trees, one of the main parking areas was installed within RPAs using low impact surfacing. All the important boundary screening was retained as an amenity for the residents, who can now enjoy the woodland wildlife by means of a winding path linking the formal gardens around the main building to the more remote glades within the mature trees. This woodland setting offers residents the unique combination of a peaceful retirement haven close to the centre of town.
