Creating a green foil against the built form

Holmwood Park is a new residential development by Bellway Homes near Wimborne, Dorset.   We advised on the tree issues during the planning process and are now overseeing the tree protection as the houses are being built.

One of its unique new placemaking features is an entrance avenue of 10 semi-mature tulip trees, creating a green foil against the built form.  (View Bellway's site here)

They are being installed into soil contained within a crate system called Tree Bunker  provided by Wrekin.  The roof water from the houses on the left is being directed into the pits as part of the SuDS scheme.  We are only in the early stages of the build, but the photo shows the first part of the installation on the left side of the road.
